The legal action between fashion designers Trelise and Tamsin Cooper was today postponed for a week.
Trelise Cooper filed a claim against Arrowtown designer Tamsin Cooper in the High Court in Auckland two weeks ago alleging Tamsin Cooper was breaching the Fair Trading Act and infringing her trademark.
Trelise Cooper had been trying to block Tamsin Cooper registering "Tamsin Cooper" as a trademark, saying the brands were too similar and appealed to similar markets.
Tamsin Cooper said the trademark dispute was already with the Intellectual Property Office, which was considering whether there was any conflict of the two brands in the marketplace.
The case was due to have been heard in the High Court at Auckland today but has been rescheduled for April 7.
