Aucklanders are in for a week of ups and downs in the weather department, with high temperatures, rain, wind and sunshine all in the mix.
It will be a cloudy day in the city today with a high of 26C and 19C overnight. Some drizzle is expected this evening which will set the scene for rain and showers tomorrow.
Wednesday and Thursday will be fine, with showers and southwesterly winds back on Friday. Auckland temperatures will drop from 27C yesterday to 22C in the week.
A front that brought rain and thunderstorms to the South Island's West Coast yesterday was expected in the lower North Island today.
Another low appeared to be developing which would drag the front back south again, MetService forecaster Allister Gorman said.
