Four members of a gang that allegedly stole cheques worth more than $600,000 from postboxes around Auckland have had their convictions quashed.
The four included prominent North Shore anti-P campaigner Elaine Patricia Ngamu and two of her sisters.
In a judgment released this week, the Court of Appeal ordered new trials but ruled that the reasons for its decision to quash the convictions should not be published.
