The convicted sex offender accused of going on the run after cutting off his electronic monitoring bracelet is due to appear in court today.
Daniel Livingstone will appear in the Hutt Valley District Court this morning charged with breaching the conditions of his release.
Livingstone allegedly went on the run from his Upper Hutt home early last Thursday, after removing his electronic monitoring bracelet.
He was found at the Naenae shops in the Hutt Valley on Friday afternoon after police were called by a member of the public.
In 2006 Livingstone was jailed for eight years for abducting, raping and threatening to kill a 10-year-old girl.
