The Kiwi grandmother at the centre of a baby manufacturing ring hopes to make and sell a documentary explaining her actions to the New Zealand public.
Carla Chambers was convicted in a San Diego court for her role in an illegal surrogacy business.
She was sentenced to five months in prison, seven months' home detention and ordered to pay $220,000.
In 2000, Chambers was convicted of fraud in Wellington District Court for her part in running a New Zealand-based surrogacy ring.
She said she had been hounded by the media and they were "full of s***."
