Nearly 50 containers have now been lifted from the cargo ship Rena stranded off Tauranga.
Winds are gusting up to 50 kilometres an hour around the ship as the salvage effort continues.
Six containers have been taken off the vessel today.
There's a slick of oil around the Rena, but it's heading offshore.
