Johnson and Johnson has recalled several batches of one-day contact lenses following consultation with Medsafe.
The Acuevue TruEye lenses were withdrawn as a precautionary measure after some were found to not meet the company's internal manufacturing requirements, Johnson and Johnson said.
The lot numbers for the affected lenses were from 492237 to 492498, and from 502080 to 502269. The number could be found on the barcode for each individual lense container.
Affected customers were asked to discontinue use and either contact their optometrist for replacement lenses or visit the Acuvue website for more information.
