A Queenstown police constable has pleaded not guilty to an offensive language charge.
Constable Jenny McNee, 43, was charged in March after an internal investigation into an alleged incident involving a local taxi driver in November.
McNee was scheduled to appear in Queenstown District Court today.
However, she entered a not guilty plea before the scheduled appearance and the case has been adjourned for a judge-alone trial in Queenstown on September 1.
Otago rural acting area commander Inspector Andrew Burns has previously confirmed McNee remains on leave without pay for unrelated reasons.
