Concerns have been raised for an Auckland teenager who has been missing for a month.
Police are searching for James Baran, 13 after he left his caregivers during a visit to a west Auckland swimming pool on August 23 and failed to return to his care facility on the North Shore.
There had been several unconfirmed sightings of James in the Henderson area and activity on his Facebook account but his exact whereabouts were unknown, police said.
Constable Sarah Conway said police had looked in areas James was known to frequent and spoken to people he associated with but had no leads.
"This is a 13-year-old boy with no money, who is somehow fending for himself," she said.
