Concerns are growing for the welfare of a woman who was heavily pregnant when she disappeared more than a month ago, and is thought to be doing everything she can to avoid authorities.
Korina Jade Bray-Taylor, 31, has not been seen by a doctor since June 13 and is believed to be living rough in Auckland.
Ms Bray-Taylor, who is former All Blacks forward Troy Flavell's sister-in-law, was due to have her baby on Friday.
She may even have had her baby by now, Sergeant Rick McDowell told NZPA.
"She hasn't checked herself in anywhere but the hospitals are all aware," Mr McDowell said.
"Enquiries are continuing. As we get a tip we're investigating it, but unfortunately at this time we still haven't found her.
"We've had a couple of calls from people who have seen heavily pregnant ladies but none of them was Korina. Initially, it was thought she might have been in the Mount Eden area. But she could be anywhere.
"We're still appealing to the public for any new information, which we'll look into immediately," Mr McDowell said.
There have been reported sightings of her sleeping in Auckland Central Library and she was also seen at the City Mission.
Police were reasonably confident a reported sighting of her on View Rd, Mt Eden, on Friday was accurate.
"She's probably not in a good state-of-mind and has decided she wants to avoid us come hell or high water, so we'll just endeavour to truck on and see if we can find her as soon as we can," Mr McDowell said.
She also needed to get treatment for an unrelated medical condition.
Ms Bray-Taylor is Caucasian, 165cm tall and has curly blonde hair.
She was last seen wearing a grey hooded top with three-quarter grey trousers, white sport shoes and carrying a handbag.
