Hopes are fading of finding alive a 75-year-old Kapiti Coast man who has been missing since going for a bush walk three days ago.
Police and Land Search and Rescue volunteers were out again today searching for Waikanae man Trevor Mann.
Mr Mann failed to return home after going for a walk on Monday.
Constable Ants Harmer said concerns were growing for Mr Mann's safety given last night was his third in the open.
"Mr Mann is not equipped to be out overnight and we are now desperate for any information which may help police locate him," Mr Harmer said.
He was described as Caucasian, 1.8m tall, of medium build with grey hair and a moustache. He was likely to be wearing shorts, a t-shirt, jacket, sneakers and a cap.
