Police are fearing for the safety of an elderly Wellington man, missing in the capital's cold snap.
Neil Canty, of the southern suburb of Newtown, was last seen in Petone at midday on Wednesday.
"Mr Canty usually returns home but has not done so on this occasion and with the recent spate of very cold weather we are concerned about his whereabouts", said police Inspector John Spence.
"Anyone with the knowledge of Mr Canty's whereabouts or who may have seen him between Petone and Newtown on Wednesday are asked to contact Wellington Police."
He weights 63 kilograms, is 175 centimetres tall, is balding and is of slim build.
