KEY POINTS:
The family of a man last seen in January are concerned for his safety.
Harold Alamoti Taipa Skudder, 38, was last seen at a shopping centre in Lower Hutt in late January.
Detective Sergeant Dean Simpson said Mr Skudder had no known access to a vehicle, no bank account, no fixed address and his disappearance was "puzzling".
"There's nothing to indicate his disappearance is suspicious and he doesn't have any health issues that we're aware of. His family would just like to know that he is okay," Mr Simpson said.
Mr Skudder is described as a thinly built Maori, about 175cm tall and was last seen with grey long hair and a beard. He also has tattoos on his hands and arms.
Mr Simpson said anyone with information could call Lower Hutt police on (04) 560 2600.
