KEY POINTS:
An Auckland bus driver charged after a pedestrian was hit and killed on Dominion Rd in April has been sentenced to 40 hours of community work.
Tu Tukino, 45, from South Auckland, was charged with failing to stop after the bus he was driving hit 53-year-old Chinese national Rongfa Jiang.
Tukino stopped about 80m up the road after hearing a thud, but continued on after not being able to work out what happened.
In Auckland District Court yesterday Judge John Hole said Tukino should not feel responsible for Jiang's death.
