The trial of a well known New Zealand comedian for allegedly sexually abusing a young girl has been postponed.
The man, who has interim name suppression, has pleaded not guilty to unlawful sexual connection with a child under 12.
The Auckland District Court jury chosen to hear the case was discharged today because of the necessity to obtain further scientific DNA evidence, Judge Roy Wade said.
The complainant was not identified.
The man will appear for a callover on March 8 when a new trial date will be set.
