An expo to be held in London next month is targeting New Zealanders living in Britain who want to return home to work.
Kiwis looking to return home from their travels are the perfect people to plug gaps in the retail travel industry, says Flight Centre's Richard Clowes.
"They have a love of travel, they can offer advice from first-hand experience and most of all, they are looking at coming home."
The New Zealand Expo is being held on October 16 and 17 in central London and is aimed at people who want to work and live in New Zealand. It will feature more than 60 exhibitors - mainly employers from New Zealand.
"We are finding that people are recognising that the travel industry can offer a career path that can put that travel experience and knowledge to good use," says Clowes.
"A climate of low unemployment combined with our expansion plans mean finding good staff is a high priority and travelling Kiwis are the perfect fit."
With 20 new stores planned to open over the next year and a drive to increase staff numbers in existing stores, the company is to take on around 200 people in the next 12 months.
"We have found that a passion for travel and some life experience are the perfect ingredients for a great career in travel."
Come home Kiwis
