With the course in great order, thanks to a wee bit of rain, the nine-holers had a putting competition and the winner was, on a count back, Rachael Colton with runner-up Carole Butler - both with 15 putts. Then there was a tie for third, Susan Stephen on count back from Pat Wood on 17.
The All Teed Up nearest the pin on No 8 was Carol Parkinson and on the Property Brokers No 16 nearest the pin was Jill Colton.
Louise Lyster made a giant step up from 9 holes to 36 holes. Well done, Louise.
So, to the women, who played a medal round. The winner was Elaine Howe with a nett 69, runner-up Julie Kidd. Next on 72 was Vicky Harris, followed by Helen Kirk and Rose Sparks with 73. Twos were scored by Heather Draper, Sylvia Beavis, Jean Laing and Jane Cooke had a 2 on No 10 hole. If that is right that is a great achievement. Well done.

Twos were scored by Dave Thurlow, Ro Griffiths, Bob Tosswill and Pete Smith. It was a Smith affair as Rob Smith got nearest the pin. Your dad would have been so proud of you two. Well done all the winners.
Then to Saturday and a Stableford round was played. The winner with 44 points was a very modest Kevin Campbell, from Phil Eberlein and Ian Stewart. Twos were scored by Peter Bain, Patrick Pedlow, Terry Fraei and Bill Jones who also got nearest the pin on No 8. Best gross went to George Kirk with a 79.
A reminder to keep April 15 free. Make up a team for the St John Ambulance Day - it is an Ambrose event with teams of four. There are a good number entered but we could do with a few more.
Good golfing.
