A crowd of about 100 elderly music-lovers were matched by almost as many college performers on stage at the penultimate Youth Entertain You concert at St Luke's Church.
Barbara Hewson, event organiser on behalf of St Luke's Church, said the concert was the first this year to feature an all-college ensemble of young singers.
The annual series of concerts, of which there were usually a half dozen, were usually a blend of college and primary school performers although the show on Wednesday featured singers and musicians from Wairarapa, Rathkeale and Solway colleges and St Matthew's Collegiate School.
"It was mighty and very well-received," she said.
She said the concert features audience made up of elderly residents from throughout the town and was the fifth in the annual series.
