Cold comfort for Auckland households

About 10,000 Auckland households woke to cold showers yesterday after a technical glitch cut the power supply to hot water cylinders.

The suburbs of Orakei, Penrose and Ellerslie were all affected by a fault in Vector's load management system.

The problem was resolved by 9am.
