Police collared a naked burglar clinging to the banks of the Waikato River but do not know why he took his clothes off.
The 27-year-old was plucked from the bank of the river by a police rescue boat on Tuesday afternoon soon after a complaint about an attempted burglary.
The man, a 15-year-old youth and a 26-year-old man will face charges.
