Sharon Armstrong has faced a fresh blow in her bid to have drug-smuggling charges dropped after an appeal was reportedly dismissed.
Armstrong was arrested in April for trying to board a flight from Argentina to London with 5kg of cocaine hidden in her suitcase.
The former Maori Language Commission deputy chief executive says she believed she was delivering highly sensitive documents to an online boyfriend.
She is now expected to rely on computer records.
