Spaniard George Jermy will take centre stage when Wairarapa United plays fellow Central Leaguers Wellington United in a pre-season match at Carterton's Howard Booth Park tomorrow, starting at 1pm.
Jermy, who has played professionally in Spain and England, came to Wairarapa United with a big reputation but was somewhat short of his best when they were beaten 3-2 by the same Wellington United team in Wellington earlier in the month. However, coach Phil Keinzely said the speedy forward has been "fizzing" at training sessions.
"You couldn't fault his application, he's really got stuck in."
For most football fans tomorrow's game will be the first opportunity for them to watch Jermy and Chilean recruits Jorge de la Torre and Jonatan Almendra go through their paces and Keinzley is confident they will be favourably impressed.
