KEY POINTS:
Police hunting burglars who broke into National Party leader John Key's Auckland home will not say if they have any leads.
The $8 million Parnell mansion was burgled on July 7 when the Keys were on holiday in Hawaii.
The intruders took two of Mr Key's watches and a "large amount" of his wife Bronagh's jewellery but the value of the stolen items is not known.
The officer in charge of the Auckland Central Business area CIB, Detective Senior Sergeant Hayden Mander, said police were awaiting the results of forensic examinations and would not discuss possible leads..
"We're treating it as any other burglary. The scene investigation has been done and we're waiting on a few bits and pieces."
Mr Mander said there had been 15 burglaries on Parnell homes in the past 10 weeks, which he did not consider higher than normal.
"It's an area that we've had problems with in the past."
