Manurewa Cosmopolitan Club says it will let its members decide whether turban-wearing guests should be allowed to enter its premises - but not for another four months.
Manager Patricia Rangi says it was agreed by all parties at a Human Rights Commission mediation meeting yesterday that its members would vote on the issue at its annual meeting in June.
The mediation yesterday was the second in two weeks aiming to settle a dispute between a local Sikh community leader, Karnail Singh, and the club over barring him from entering its premises to attend a party held in his own honour in November because he was wearing a turban.
