Veteran Tuhoe activist Tame Iti had a "plan B'' to peaceful negotiations, that involved the "Revolutionary Wing of Aotearoa'' and violence, a court has heard.
Crown prosecutor Ross Burns today gave his closing address in the High Court trial at Auckland in the trial of Urs Signer and Emily Bailey, Te Rangikaiwhiria Kemara and Iti.
The crown alleges the four were involved in military-style training camps in the Urewera National Park ranges from late 2006 until October 2007.
The four accused deny charges of possessing guns and belonging to an organised criminal group, with objectives including murder, arson and using guns against the police.
Mr Burns said Iti probably did not want to jeopardise peaceful negotiations but no one knew what the outcome of Tuhoe's negotiations with the Crown would be.
