Clint Brown has left TV3.
His departure was announced on TV3 news this evening. Presenter Mike McRoberts said Brown had decided to resign after a 'stressful month' and because it was 'time for a change'.
Brown had been stood down during an investigation into an incident in Taupo in September.
There have been allegations he had been abusive to women on a night out which ended with him getting a black eye.
He has told police he does not remember what happened and insisted to TV3 bosses he was not drunk.
Brown has worked for TV3 for 17 years.
