The body of Irish tramper Donal Deery was recovered from Mt Aspiring National Park yesterday, a week after he plunged to his death in a ravine.
Dr Deery, 29, fell 250m from the Cascade Saddle into a rocky gully after trying to save his partner, Helen McClements, when she slipped and fell down the mountain.
Ms McClements is recovering from serious back injuries.
