National MP Bob Clarkson is seeking $80,000 in costs from New Zealand First leader Winston Peters over his failed electoral petition and may also pursue the MP over another matter.
Mr Peters challenged Mr Clarkson's campaign spending after losing the Tauranga seat to the new National MP, but three judges ruled it was under the $20,000 limit.
Mr Clarkson confirmed last night that his lawyers would file papers today seeking $80,000 in costs from Mr Peters.
Mr Clarkson is also considering legal action against Mr Peters over comments in the Herald on Sunday.
