Claireville bowls opens doors

A new indoor bowling club has been formed in the Wairarapa.
The Clareville club will operate out of the Tom Bubb room at Clareville Showgrounds and will hold its opening night this evening.
Spokesperson Caroline Larkin said Clareville would be affiliated to the New Zealand Indoor Bowls Association and the Catholic Indoor Bowls Association.
Mrs Larkin emphasised that non-Catholics were welcome to join the Clareville club which will play in the Wairarapa competitions.
She said the affiliation to the Catholic association was mainly made to allow Clareville players to contest their national tourneys.
