A man who hauled in a robber and a teenager who gave CPR to an assault victim whose heart had stopped are among 13 Aucklanders who will receive awards from police tomorrow.
The civilians will be handed the District Commander's Certificate of Appreciation at a medal ceremony in the Auckland Town Hall.
One of the award winners, Patrick Knight, tackled and trained a man who had carried out an aggravated robbery in Western Springs.
Mr Knight has since joined the police force.
Emilou Hohaia, 15, will get a certificate to recognise her effort to perform CPR on a 15-year-old whose heart had stopped after an assault at the Glen Innes shopping centre.
The ceremony will also see several police officers awarded the District Commander's Commendation for their work.
