A car pursued by police rammed a vehicle with a woman and child inside before stopping in central Auckland yesterday morning.
The chase, which lasted "less than a minute", started on the Harbour Bridge after the male driver allegedly committed a traffic offence, said a police spokesman.
The woman's vehicle was hit near the Les Mills gym in Victoria St.
A St John Ambulance spokesman said police called for an ambulance at 9.20am and reported that one child was in the car.
He said the mother and child suffered "very minor injuries" and were not taken to hospital.
A man is facing several charges relating to the incident.
