Russian-born teenage singing sensation Yulia Townsend and her mother, Galina, will become New Zealanders tomorrow at a citizenship ceremony in Christchurch.


The 19-year-old's debut album Into the West, released last year, sold platinum four times over.

Galina's husband and Yulia's stepfather, Christchurch real estate agent Bill Townsend, will be present.
