Church rip-off charges

An Auckland man who allegedly gambled away money that churchgoers thought they had donated for his medical treatment was back in court again yesterday.

Gerard Francis Marychurch, 39, faced 12 charges of obtaining money by deception and a further two charges of theft by a person in a special relationship.
