Police in the North Island say the stress of the season's starting to show in the number of call-outs they're getting to domestic disputes and street disorder.
As work places close for the Christmas break, Auckland police have been dealing with fights and drunkenness on the streets.
They say the good weather's contributing to the partying mood, and it's been a busy night for family arguments getting out of control as Christmas stresses reach breaking point.
Central police say it's also been busy and in the South Island, police say there has been a bit of disorder but nothing out of the ordinary.
