Featherston will again stage a "Midwinter Christmas" celebration on Friday to help raise money for buying more street decorations.
Christmas Market organisers will have a sausage sizzle and raffle stall at 27 Fitzherbert St and funds raised will go towards festive dressings for the town's end of year Christmas Market.
"We're focusing on getting that really traditional Christmas spirit," said event organiser Marc Van De Lo. "We decorated underneath the verandas last year and we're expanding on that theme."
From 5pm until 7.30pm there will be live music and shopping opportunities as Dandelion, Mr Feather's Den, Everest Cafe and C'est Cheese are now staying open until 7pm each Friday.
Mr Van De Lo said Christmas decorations would be put up for the evening, and there is a fundraising quiz night planned for August 18 at the Featherston RSA.
