KEY POINTS:
Former lawyer Christopher Harder's festive spirit was restored yesterday when his stolen laptop, containing the unedited version of his autobiography, was returned in exchange for a $500 reward.
A member of the public saw an advertisement offering the reward for the return of the laptop in the Auckland Lifewise centre, formerly the Methodist Mission Northern.
Harder's "Santa Claus" paid someone on the street a low price for the laptop, which was taken from the boot of Harder's car on Sunday night.
