The man accused of murdering North Shore teenager Christie Marceau also faces two other charges - one of assault with intent to commit sexual violation and another of threatening her with grievous bodily harm.
Akshay Chand, 19, appeared briefly in the High Court at Auckland this morning where his lawyer Mary-Anne Lowe entered not guilty pleas on all counts.
It can now be revealed for the first time that not only is Chand facing a charge of murder but he is also facing charges of kidnapping, assault with intent to commit sexual assault and threatening to commit grievous bodily harm.
Those charges had previously been the subject of a suppression order and stem from a separate incident to the murder.
Justice Timothy Brewer said the "whole world knows'' Chand is alleged to have been involved in both incidents and there was no point in continuing the suppression order.
