Christchurch's convention centre may have to be demolished.
It's New Zealand's largest purpose-built convention centre, opened in 1997.
Vbase CEO Bryan Pearson says the latest engineering reports are not good.
"It's changing by the day and I don't think we'll have an absolutely full and complete picture and be able to determine the very best way forward until late August or early September," he told Newstalk ZB.
Mr Pearson says it's looking like the Hadlee Stand at AMI Stadium will also have to be demolished. He says both buildings are well-insured though there's no cover for the ground they're on.
