A woman who is subject to "the most extensive list of trespass notices in Christchurch", including schools, has been jailed for six months after assaulting a 10-year-old girl.
Margaret Dodds, a voluntary patient at the Seager Clinic at Christchurch's Princess Margaret Hospital, scared the child as she rode her scooter home from school on March 31 this year.
The 58-year old woman, who has an extensive history of menacing schoolchildren, pressed herself up against the girl and pushed her against a tree.
Christchurch District Court earlier heard that Dodds is subject to the "most extensive list of trespass notices in Christchurch", and is banned from buses, community centres, schools, playgrounds and parks.
Today she was sentenced to six months' jail after being convicted of assault, disorderly behaviour and being in an enclosed yard.
