A woman who is subject to "the most extensive list of trespass notices in Christchurch", including schools, has been charged with assaulting a 10-year-old girl.
Margaret Dodds, a voluntary patient at the Seager Clinic at Christchurch's Princess Margaret Hospital, is accused of assaulting the schoolgirl on March 31 this year.
The 58-year old denies the charge. Police allege she pressed herself up against the girl and pushed her against a tree.
Police prosecutor Chris Hunt said Dodds is subject to the "most extensive list of trespass notices in Christchurch", and is banned from buses, community centres, schools, playgrounds and parks.
The Christchurch District Court heard today she is also facing charges of disorderly behaviour and being in an enclosed yard.
