Christchurch trams are back on track today.
The trams are returning to Cathedral Square after an almost three-year absence following the February 2011 earthquake.
Christchurch Tramway managing director Michael Esposito said the trams were renovated during the past two years and they are looking good.
"In fact, the Invercargill tram - which is a new one to the city - is in better condition now than it probably was when it came out of the showroom some 80 years ago."
The trams open at 10.00am - adults pay $10.00, and kids can ride for free.
