A 22-year-old man has been arrested after an alleged early morning stabbing in central Christchurch.
He appeared in Christchurch District Court this afternoon via audio-visual link, (AVL) where he was granted interim name suppression.
The man has been remanded in custody without a plea and will reappear in Christchurch District Court via AVL on August 13.
He has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Two people were left seriously injured in what police called a “serious assault” on Hereford St just after 4am on Sunday.
