Christchurch shaken by moderate earthquake

Christchurch has been rattled this afternoon by a magnitude 3.8 earthquake.

GeoNet reported that the quake struck at 4.08pm and was centred 10 kilometres south-east of Christchurch.

It hit at a depth of 11 kilometres.
