Christchurch shaken by Christmas Eve quake

Christchurch was struck by a magnitude 4.0 quake last night.

The earthquake hit at 7.43pm and was located 15Km east of the city, at a depth of 12 kilometres, according to GeoNet.

The quake's intensity was described as moderate.
