Christchurch motorists who think they are entitled to a refund on parking fines should contact the council.
The City Council approved a decision to refund nearly $80,000 of infringement notices wrongly issued since February 2005.
Councillor Sue Wells says the tickets were given to vehicles parked on grass verges which did not have parking signs erected.
