A Christchurch man has been stabbed with a broken bottle after a brawl involving a group of people outside a bar.
The 18-year-old is in a stable condition in Christchurch Hospital, after needing surgery for his injuries, which are not life threatening.
Police understand the incident involving around eight people was triggered by a fight inside the Bedrock Bar in Lincoln Road, Addington around midnight on Saturday.
Around the same time, a rock was also thrown through a side window of the bar.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested for wilful damage.
