A Christchurch woman was kidnapped, assaulted and raped over the weekend, police allege.
Luke James Henry, 31, has been arrested for the alleged attack, which police say spanned Friday and Saturday.
Henry, of Christchurch, faces 14 charges including unlawfully detaining a woman, three charges of rape, two of sexual violation, assault, and assault with intent to injure her.
Police arrested him on Saturday for allegedly driving recklessly, failing to stop, and driving while disqualified.
He appeared in the Christchurch District Court this morning clutching an envelope of documents.
