A Christchurch man has today denied a knife attack on three men which ended only when he was knocked out by one of his alleged victims.
Police said 41-year-old David Barlow dropped off a mate at a Christchurch asphalt company last month when he saw a worker who owed him money.
He allegedly went at him with a knife, turning his attention to other workers when they came to their mate's aid.
One of the employees at Hornby firm JCL Asphalt then managed to knock out the man - an action which avoided any injuries and drew praise from police.
Today Barlow, of Mairehau, appeared at Christchurch District Court to deny three knife assaults and two drug charges.
