A Christchurch man has today denied killing his 5-year-old autistic step-son.
Leon Michael leFleming Jayet-Cole died after suffering a serious head injury on May 27.
James Stedman Roberts, 34, today appeared at the High Court in Christchurch to plead not guilty to his murder.
Justice Cameron Mander remanded Roberts in custody to a case review hearing on September 11.
