A Christchurch man has been charged with three rapes and a series of sexual connections with young teenagers.
The 21-year-old, who has interim name suppression, was due to appear at Christchurch District Court this morning.
However, he was granted a registrar's remand without having to appear before a judge.
He was bailed to appear in court on May 6.
The man faces 11 charges - three of rape and eight of sexual connection with young people, including 13 and 14-year-olds - between March 22, 2013, and October 30, 2015.
